Bali 1
This post is costing me money. One dollar to be exact. So you all better read it 'cause 1 dollar goes pretty far here...2 bottles of water or 1 tasty banana pancake...or even 5 Mcdonalds ice cream cones. They taste especially good in 30+ degree heat with jungle humidity.
So Customs in Bali is a nightmare. It took 2 "lines" and 3 hours to get thru...and remember that part about the jungle humidity?...no A/C in the airport :(
Once we got thru that we needed a flight to Lombok (the next island over) but we were unable to get a flight for 2 more hrs. ...which was promptly delayed for 2 more. We did however have 1st class tickets, as that's all that was left when we booked, which thankfully allowed us access to a slightly cooler area and some suspicious looking food. As you can see by the photo of the 2 of us, it was fun times ;)
We eventually made it to Surfer's on Lombok and set up the mozzy net for a much needed sleep. The next day promised adventures on the island.

The water looks lovely - was it worth the journey to be there andd go surfing?
ReplyDeleteYes, it definitely was. The highlight of the trip so far :) No people and nice waves...not like Bali...don't like Bali.
ReplyDeleteHey mang, "cool" pics or should I say warm pics haha. sounds like a good time in the airport, that's the whole experience of the 3rd world countries... mumikins knows all about that :)
ReplyDeleteSnowing, cold, rainy and muddy in Calgary, quite the contrast....
Have fun over there.
