After Lombok it was back to Bali for our friend's wedding. Although it's only a 25 min. flight from Lombok to Bali, well, more like 8hrs 25 min for us (we spent 8hrs waiting for a flight!), when you touch down in Kuta (Bali) it seems like a totally different place. Traffic is insane and there are people everywhere. But one thing doesn't change...the heat.

We were staying at the Grand Hyatt for our friends wedding, and the plush room provided a nice break from the wilds of Lombok and the crowded Kuta streets. Of course everything there was very expensive....they wanted 20$ US to rent a surfboard for 1 hour. It's 5$ a day in Lombok.

There was a turtle "sanctuary" close by so we headed over there the day after the sedding to check it out. It was cool as we were able to get up close with a few animals as you can see in the pics.
